Experience:

Brian Morkan has more than 15 years post-graduate experience in many aspects of the civil engineering projects, including water supply and sewerage schemes. He has been responsible for hydraulics design, procurement (both of survey and site investigation and main contracts), and pipeline design and has prepared many preliminary reports for various water supply schemes, advising on optimum solutions.

His involvement in schemes like the South Leinster DBO Bundle and the North West Sligo DBO Project has included the collection of data from multilple sources and stakeholders over a wide geopgraphic area, extending over 6 counties in the case of South Leinster

Brian has been responsible for the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements on Carrickmacross and Carrigtohill Sewerage Schemes.

He has had extensive exposure to local authority procedures and requirements having acted as point of contact on numerous design schemes and been responsible for undertaking tender assessment and reports for projects such as West Cork Grouped Wastewater Treatment Plants DBO Contract.

In October 2005 Brian Left T. J. O’Connor & Associates to work in the non-governmental sector, firstly in Liberia and then in East Timor, returning to the firm in April 2008.
